THE TASTE

This fragrant, delicate Prosecco Rose’ is a selection of the finest Glera and Pinot Noir grapes grown in individual parcels in the province of Treviso.  It’s a lovely shimmering pale pink with dense, silky mousse.  The bouquet is generous and fruit thick, redolent of cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry which continues on the palate that finishes with a crisp acidity.

PAIR IT WITH

The vineyards, all within the Prosecco DOC zone, face south-southeast at elevations of 70-250 metres.  The climate is temperate with cold winers, warm summers and consistent ventilation.  The grapes are picked exclusively by hand, around mid-September.

THE STORY

On the hills surrounding Conegliano, about 50 miles north of Venice, lies the beautiful estate of Bellenda. In 1987, Sergio Cosmo started this winery, located in the very heart of the Prosecco producing region, while also completely replacing the vine varieties on land he already owned. The Cosmo family also re-designed the layout of the vineyard and planted 80% of the grapes now used for Prosecco and other sparkling wines with the rest used for still wines.

Today the family business is run by brothers Umberto, Luigi and Domenico Cosmo, who have a passion for making wine that makes people happy.
